Your role
Our Strategic Sourcing department, part of Sourcing & Supply at Aerospace Systems consists of 9 Contract Managers based in Linköping. Your role will include providing the programs with commercial responsibility and to continuously evaluate the market competitiveness of your supplier portfolio. You will have the opportunity to manage your own category and/or supplier base. As a Contract Manager you will also be responsible for negotiating, actively managing and further developing our supplier agreements. The role will give you opportunities to build an extensive network, both internally and externally.
Depending on the profile of the applicant we might consider to have the role allocated 50% to business law type of assignments such as supporting the contract managers with business law advice, review legal documents under negotiation, understand risks in new and current legal templates - being the link to our Group Legal function at Saab.
The main tasks as Contract Manager at Saab Aerospace Systems:

Establish and continuously develop strategies for your supplier base or category together with Business Development Sourcing.

Be responsible for negotiating, actively managing and further developing your supplier portfolio to align with the perspective of Total Cost of Ownership.

Supporting the Business Unit and the programs with commercial responsibility and to continuously evaluate the market competitiveness of your supply base.
*
Actively run improvement and cost reducing initiatives within your responsibility
*
Secure and follow up on overarching department goals
*
Drive cross-functional teams focusing on effectiveness and cost savings
*
Co-lead supplier audits during supplier approval process.
Your Profile

You are driven, have strong communication skills and you are able to work in teams and drive processes forward. To succeed in your role you are experienced and independent in the following competence areas; procurement, negotiations, agreements and business analytics.

Relevant University degree

Minimum 3-5 years' experience from working in purchasing in an international context.

Very good knowledge in Swedish and English
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
