As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will be a key-player in establishing and maintaining a continuous improvement culture in ABB Alingsås. You will typically be driving and implementing cross-functional improvement projects and activities within operations in the local ABB factory.
You will also play an important role in ensuring our factory is working according to our operating model, Quality Wins. Quality Wins is based on lean principles and provides a framework for all factories within ABB Electrification, Smart Power. In this area of responsibility, you will audit the factory on a regular basis and coordinate all functions such as production, logistics, quality, and R&D, ensuring compliance and action taking upon improvement areas.
In activities and projects, you are utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodology and creating transparency to monitor progress.
Your responsibilities
Understanding the organizations objectives and needs, and suggesting projects, actions and tools to achieve them
Driving improvement projects (small and large) with a hands-on problem-solving approach
Auditing the manufacturing processes ensuring compliance with ABB operating model Quality Wins. Coordinate and drive action-taking in potential deviations
Providing training and coaching within lean principles and techniques within operations so that they are better equipped to drive their improvement efforts for themselves
Benchmarking best practice with other ABB factories, in Sweden and worldwide, and drive to make it happen locally
Your background
A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or equivalent relevant field
You have experience in process development and/or continuous improvement role within industry sector
Excellent written and communication skills, as projects and problem solving will be handled cross-functional where you in many cases will be leading the activity
A collaborative team player with solution-oriented and structured mindset
Strong commitment to drive improvements and ability implement those changes
Confidence in project leading cross-functional projects and activities
Knowledge in Lean Six Sigma, preferably with a minimum of Greenbelt Certification
Fluency in Swedish and English

Cable distribution cabinets is a product group within ABB Electrification, that develops, manufactures, and sells enclosures, fusegears and cable connectors which are a vital part of the low voltage distribution network. The products are mainly sold via wholesalers and OEMs.
