Position description:

The section Power Supply within Vehicle SW & Electronics is responsible for generating, storing and supplying electrical energy in the car. The section has responsibilities that stretches from early phases until launch of new cars as well as field follow-up for hardware and software. Power Supply consists of three groups; Analysis & Verification, System and Components.
The group Power Supply Components is responsible for low voltage (12-60V) hardware and software development as well as the mechanical design. This includes for instance starters, alternators, battery monitor sensors, battery control switch modules, 12V lead acid batteries as well as power supply components and software for 48V mild hybrid solutions.
We are now looking for a HW Component Responsible for 48V Li-Ion batteries. As component responsible you will be responsible for the development, requirement management and in-time project deliveries. You will lead technical discussions internal and with suppliers, meanwhile balancing with respect to cost, quality and time. You work in close cooperation with the system group and several other functions within the client. The position includes many international contacts and is done in cooperation with international suppliers.
Main responsibilities:
• Delivery responsible for 48V Li-Ion batteries
• Plan and lead development
• Requirement management between the client and the suppliers
• Review and sign-off design, technical documentation and verification results
• Establish design guidelines
Required qualifications:
• B.Sc. grade within Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering Physics or equivalent level of education
• Experience of developing hardware and technical specifications
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Meritorious:
• M.Sc. in Electrical, Mechanical or Engineering Physics
• Experience of Volvo Cars processes and systems
Personal qualities:
• Structured team player with analytical skills
• Self driven with high level of engagement
• Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships and networks
