Justification / Requirements: The Compliance Specialist or ?Local Compliance Officer/LCO" will be the main Compliance advisor and contact for field personnel with Compliance-related queries and concerns in the designated territories.The LCO will be responsible for implementing policies and processes as proposed by PL HQ Compliance Officer, executing controls to minimize the Compliance risks to the Company, and monitoring the effectiveness of controls performed by the local entity. The LCO may be required to work on special projects or to provide less experienced analysts with work direction and technical assistance. In addition to compliance responsibilities, this role will also be responsible for working with the process/program owners globally for the local execution of one, or more of the following processes/programs e.g. Export Compliance and Controls, Information and Physical Security,Employee Health and Safety Process to Pay Data Assurance (P2P-DA), etc. With your daily work you will keep care to ensure successful (e.g. good quality, timely) completion of anti-corruption toolkit, BRC?s, etc. within the country, advise and consult on gifts & hospitality policy and process, work with field sales and services organization and finance on due diligence checks/approvals, train personnel in policies and procedures related to compliance, manage and complete compliance checks on LOA (Limits of Authority) projects and Business Partner Due Diligence. Further you are responsible to provide Marketing organization with assistance in understanding and complying with the donations and sponsorship processes (pertaining to field and corporate marketing events and activities), review risk-based transactions and payments for clearance or remediation, support HQ CO with local translations of Compliance messaging as required. Additional you are preparing reports on the company?s compliance initiatives and related results, work with department managers to implement compliance programs and resolve control deficiencies. Your tasks are completed by working with senior level company executives on compliance initiatives and special compliance projects.
Required Qualifikations: * Bachelor?s degree in business or finance.* Minimum of 4+ years of experience in finance or accounting, audit,legal / compliance, or other related operations.* Project management and legal or audit background preferred* Must have medium level of technical knowledge of financial reporting and internal control processes.* Ability to extract a population of data from the ERP environment, select a representative sample, and perform testing for specific attributes on those transactions* Ability to work with confidential and sensitive material discreetly.* Strong teaming skills and demonstrated ability to present and disseminate information in a concise and easily understandable way.* Strong influence skills with effective implementation experience in a matrixed environment.* Ability to ?push back? in a diplomatic and productive fashion, building consensus and partnering with teams.* Strong attention to detail required.* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is a must.* Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment.* Ability to work with multiple levels throughout the company in analyzing financial reporting and compliance situations.* Must have excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills.* Must be proficient with PCs, spreadsheets and accounting software.
