hela Sverige Forum Syd is looking for a positive and collaborative person with experience in creating unique and engaging content in Swedish for web and social media to join the Advocacy and Communication Unit. The person will foremost work with the digital platform Globalportalen which aims to increase knowledge about global development issues and how young people in Sweden can engage in and contribute to a sustainable world.
The person we are looking for should have several years' experience working with digital development and producing target group adapted content preferably within global development issues. The person should be a creative as well as strategical communicator and enjoy collaborating in a team and in a global organisation. Experience of working with civil society organizations, young people as a target group and with developing countries are considered meritorious.
The position reports to the Head of Advocacy and Communication and is a full-time permanent contract with a six month probation period, starting November 1, 2018, based at Forum Syd's office in Stockholm, Sweden.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Develop the digital platform Globalportalen including social media
• Produce engaging and knowledge-enhancing text in Swedish as well as image and video content for the website and social media
• Develop methods for Globalportalen to build community and boost awareness
• Coordinate and develop Globalportalen's communication to members
• Contribute in the process of formulating new proposals for programmes and projects as well as reporting on ongoing
• Support the organization in matters relating to youth communication, web communication and other communication methods
• Other tasks related to the work in the Communication department as delegated by manager
• Contribute to the organisational learning and development of Forum Syd in general, and of the department in particular
Qualifications required:
• Proven experience in creating unique and engaging content for web and social media
• Very good communication skills including the ability to adapt messages to the target group
• Good knowledge of different channels/media and willing to keep up to date with digital trends
• Ability to interpret website traffic and knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels
• Excellent ability to express oneself orally and in writing in Swedish and English
• Experience in building relations and networks
• Experience in writing proposals and reporting on results
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects, prioritise, and deliver according to agreed time plan
• A team player with an ability to coordinate effectively with co-workers and external partners
• High computer skills, especially in CMS systems, social media channels, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office suite
Education and work experience:
• Relevant academic degree in communications or equivalent qualifications
obtained in another way
• Minimum 2 years' experience as communication officer with focus on web and social media
Personal qualities:
As a person you have strong interpersonal skills, are collaborative and a clear communicator. You are organized yet flexible with a passion for contributing to a just and sustainable world.
