We are looking for a Communications Coordinator to our Product, Data and Technology department to drive external and internal communications. With the hire we are improving our internal communication to keep the organisation with its 300 employees up-to-date with all that is going, and to make sure the full NENT Group and our +1900 employees in total are well informed about what we do, whilst there is also a great need to reach out to the wider software community and inform about our progress, key releases and why NENT Group is such a great place to work.
THE POSITION
The Communications Coordinator works with external communications, which includes developing press-releases for the launch of new functionality and partnerships, preparing talks or presentations for senior executives ahead of industry events and supporting our recruitment team with employer branding communication. The newly created role is also responsible for internal communications, which includes coordinating monthly newsletters, KPI reports, video productions, product release notes, minutes from senior management meetings and other key information that is relevant for team such as IT training sessions or security information.
The communications coordinator is expected to develop new ideas for how to promote NENT Group as a company and Product, Data and Technology as an organisation and to ensure that our internal communication is an industry benchmark in both clarity and reach. The same goes for internal communication where the role is expected to keep a sound communications plan and structure that is easy to use, understand and access for those needing to get important messages out to the organisation.
The role includes working closely with NENT Groups central communications team to piggy back on best practises, learn corporate principles and to provide input to central activities from a Product, Data and Technology perspective, while working closely with local communications teams. The individual is expected to perform all communication in English and be exceptionally strong with written and verbal communication.
THE CHALLENGE AHEAD
The individual is expected to execute the following tasks:
• Create and coordinate public speaking engagements with/for Product, Data and Technology department spokespersons
• Support the Product, Data and Technology management team ahead of public speaking engagements and industry events by preparing presentations, video materials, media kits, fact sheets and other collateral material
• Develop and comment on press-releases for new product releases, partnerships and in relation to other key activities, by working closely with the NENT Groups central communications team and Viaplay/Viafree/Viasats different communication teams
• Support the product, data and technology team with internal communication including composing and distributing newsletters, intranet publications, IT and security information, training information, KPI-reports, product release information, organisational updates, staff matters etcetera
• Be responsible for meeting minutes and agendas from management meetings within Product, Data and Technology
• Stay up to date with key events that is happening across NENT Group and share such information with the wider Product, Data and Technology community
• Participate in employer branding events to tell the NENT story
• Work closely with the NENT Groups employer branding team andcentral communications team to learn and contribute to the NENT Group story
• Contribute to various social media accounts relating to employer branding
• Keep internal bulletin boards and screens updated
• Gather Good News stories from staff for use in all communication (internal & external)
• Other duties as assigned
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a hungry and forward-leaning individual that is passionate about communication and storytelling and who is interested in working in a product/software development context.
• BA or higher degree in marketing, public or media relations, communications, or related field, - or demonstrated min. of 3 yrs experience in one or more of these areas
• Native British or American English language skills
• Highly organized, attention to detail, results oriented and self-motivated
• Exceptional verbal, written, & presentation skills
• Strong editing skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google suite computer programs
• Basic design/layout experience desired
• Knowledge of electronic media such as Web sites, e-Newsletters, Social Media, & other Web 2.0
• Ability to creatively find solutions to challenges
• Team player with abilities and desire to interact with people at all levels
• Ability to work effectively with community partners
