We believe you share our IKEA values and that you are excited to join us in our journey to become the world's leading omnichannel home furnishing retailer. You enjoy a real communication challenge, in an environment where everything is changing. You thrive on making complex topics simple and demonstrating how strategic communication can enable the business to achieve its objectives. You are passionate about communication related to People & Culture (our equivalent of HR) with a experience, knowledge and/or a passion for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
On a day-to-day basis you act as a trusted communication business partner, coach and advisor to our People & Culture (P&C) organisation. Based on business priorities, you design as well as execute strategic communication initiatives and prioritize these accordingly. You will be part of a team who are the go-to people for all communication related to our P&C business agenda. By aligning and coordinating with the rest of our wider Group Communications team, as well as Comms colleagues at country level, you will lead the way on internal as well as external communication.
Ideally your background would include the following:
• Advanced training in Communications or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10+ years' experience of external, internal and change communication (people impacted related business decisions, such as transformation and restructuring of organisations) either within a global organization or brand/strategic communications consultancy.
• Strong track record and/or demonstrable knowledge of communication related to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
• Solid experience of crisis communication.
• Ability to communicate verbally, visually and in writing in an inspirational way with the IKEA tone of voice.
• Ability to build strong and meaningful interpersonal relationships, enabling you to coach and advise stakeholders.
• Ability to be comfortable with defining, planning, executing and following up on communication initiatives and partnering effectively with colleagues in the full range of communication disciplines, such as internal communication, media relations, public affairs, and campaigning.
• Ability to provide strategic direction, execute and have a hands-on approach.
• Last but certainly not least, you are agile, assignment oriented according to business priorities, embrace challenges, a people person and team player who finds energy and creates results in co-creation and collaboration. You embody the IKEA values and are inspired to find new ways.
This role is a permanent contract and will be located in Malmö, Sweden.
