We are now looking to hire a Clinical Scientist working within the Inflammation/Autoimmunity (Rheumatology-Systemic Lupus Erythematosus) area, to our site in Gothenburg, Sweden or Warsaw, Poland.

As a Clinical Scientist you will contribute to the development and execution of clinical trials as well as regulatory submission activities. You will assist in clinical development activities which can include Clinical Development Plans (CDPs), investigational brochures, protocols, Clinical Study Reports (CSRs) and pharmacovigilance activities. In this role you will have a special focus on clinical trials within the Inflammation & Autoimmunity Area where the Clinical Scientists will work in close collaboration with the Study physicians and or Medical Director/Global Clinical Leader.

As a Clinical Scientist you may take part in various roles including membership on a clinical team and clinical project sub-teams, as well as leadership roles within these teams. Other accountabilities may include e.g. being the representative of AstraZeneca in interactions with external scientific consultants or to help in the collaboration with contract research organization (CRO) functional area leads for outsourced studies, to contribute to clinical trials execution.

To be successful in the role you should have a thorough understanding of cross-functional clinical processes, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Safety. Therefore, it is important to have good collaboration skills to be a contributor to the team. You should have a feeling of commitment to your customers and act with integrity.

Essential Requirements
• Bachelor's degree/Master's degree in a health science field.
• Relevant clinical research experience with at least two to three years of experience.

Desirable Requirements
• Indirect or direct industry drug development experience and experience of designing and conducting clinical studies is preferable.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively and to respect other working cultures, including academic partners.
• Team player with strong communication and presentation skills.
