Overview
Do you have experience with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and are you looking to further develop your career? Then you might be the person we are looking for!
We are currently looking for a Clinical Application Specialist, NGS to join our European team. The position can be based in either Denmark or Sweden and the estimated travel activity would be 30-40% within the Nordic region.
How will you make an impact?
As our new Clinical Application Specialist, you'll support the Clinical market on the use of Thermo Fisher Scientific / Ion Torrent Oncology product portfolio in Next Generation Sequencing.
You will be responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction by aligning complex product solutions and services with key customer initiatives. Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers or potential influencers
What will you do?
• Promotion of clinical solutions to existing customers
• Owning the implementation of assays and products / clinical solutions within customer sites
• Understanding the clinical landscape in their countries and develop a strategy how to best tackle the clinical markets in their regions
• Manage relationships with key Thermo Fisher Scientific collaborating partners
• Review and assist customers with protocols, assays and basics in the bioinformatics pipeline on Ion Torrent / Thermo Fisher instrumentation from home office and at customer sites
• Help customers design and conducts experiments to assist in evaluations of Ion Torrent / Thermo Fisher products
• Promote clinical solutions at customer sites and in conferences/user meetings
• Work in collaboration with the Clinical Account Manager to set up best strategies
• Build strong relationships with customers in Nordics
• Maintain and develop the CRM database
• Maintain consistent and structured communication with counterparts and articulate summarized communication to Manager on a periodical basis
• Align with other teams in the company on a regular basis
How will you get here?
Education
• Graduate qualification in an appropriate science subject, molecular biology or bioinformatics preferred
Experience
• Experience in molecular biology application is mandatory. Bioinformatics experience is desirable
• Medical background, laboratory experience, and/or managed care knowledge desirable
• Previous experience as application specialist in the clinical market or advanced NGS/BFX experience desirable
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Understanding of the Diagnostic markets and ability to gather good market intelligence with respect to competitive products and vendors
• Excellent communication and influencing skills and fluency in English and Swedish, Norwegian or Danish
• Ability to understand and articulate complex scientific literature and use extensive complex clinical data as a key factor in the sales process
• Strong drive for success
• Willingness to travel throughout Europe
