Accounting & Company Control (ACC) is the accounting department within the Volvo Group. We supply the Volvo group with key competence within accounting and we are responsible for financial compliance in all legal entities. Based on the financial information provided by us the business can take strategic decisions. Being a true global organization we have daily interactions with stakeholders worldwide.
Job description:
In this position you will be the Chief Accountant for Volvo Technology AB. This legal entity exists today, but will become a larger unit in 2019. In this new role, you will therefore be an important part of the journey to set up the new structure for this company.

The Chief Accountant is the one who is responsible for the accounting records and their accuracy within a legal entity. The purpose of the job is to provide both internal and external parties with meaningful, accurate and timely legal entity financial information. The Chief Accountant should ensure completion of all statutory and compliance reporting for the legal entity that he/she represents.
One very important part of the job is to be updated with all the latest changes in accounting policies and reporting requirements, and to make sure that these are implemented in the legal entity reporting. This will be done in close collaboration with your colleagues in Poland and India responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting.

Preferred educational requirements and experience:
Academic degree in economy/ finance or equivalent education
Minimum of five years of advanced experience in the field of accounting
Experience from SAP R/3 and Microsoft Office
Good knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
Proficiency in Swedish and English both verbal and written
Preferred personal profile:

Able to build relationships, network and teamwork with all relevant stakeholders in a virtual international environment
Excellent communication, presentation, listening and interpersonal skills
Proactive and able to take decisions and drive change
