Our department
The Product Compliance, Power, and Propulsion team (EMCP) at Scania works with the certification of conventional and electrical powertrains for both on-road and non-road applications. The team works together with the R&D designers to make sure they understand the regulatory requirements and have a robust plan to successfully meet them. We are now looking for a new colleague to join our team and work with the certification of Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) and Electrified (e-power) solutions for Power Solution (Power Generation, Industrial and Marine) applications.

The team includes 11 certification engineers and one group manager, representing a diverse range of professional backgrounds, nationalities, genders, and ages. We're a highly motivated and skilled group that values each other's input and is always ready to support each other when needed. Your assignment
Your main responsibility will be..
• Working within a broad network: Including product development, project planning, and external bodies - You will be responsible for the complete certification chain.
• Monitoring legal requirements, directives, and standards: You will work through Scania's distributors and participate in lobbying activities.
• Analyzing legal requirements: Together with product development and other functions, you will provide valuable input to ensure that Scania's power & propulsion units are developed to meet existing and future legal requirements.
• Certification tests: You will support the certification tests and coordinate all the information needed together with the product development team and authorities.
Depending on your work experience and profile, the scope and depth of the tasks can be adjusted.
Is this you?
To succeed in this role, we believe you have excellent communication skills. You have the ability to be attentive to other people's opinions and perspectives. At the same time, you are adept at giving constructive feedback and can negotiate. You are a team player who enjoys working in broad internal/external networks. Additionally, we see a person who actively takes initiative and seeks challenges with a performance-oriented mindset. We believe you have the ability to adjust your actions to what the situation requires with a positive attitude, despite setbacks. You are structured, have good coordination skills, and enjoy working with details whilst being able to see the big picture.
We would also like that..
• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
• You have an understanding of e-power systems and type-approval experience.
• You have some experience reading and interpreting legal documents.
• You have an interest in working on the new battery regulation (2023/1542).
• You write and speak fluently in English with the ability to create technical documentation.
Experience working at Scania is also highly meritorious.
