The Customer Adaptation is an important strategic area with the aim to support truck sales. We work actively and cross functionally with our counterparts both within GTS, GTT and internally within GTO.
The position S-Designer Chassis belongs to the Design team within Customer Adaptation Function with the main task to support and carry out specific design changes requested by customers. As a S-Designer you will get involved with the complete chassie and also will have a wide range of contacts both within GTO, GTT and GTS. You will review specific design changes requested from both internal and external customer.

Responsibilities and main tasks will be
• To create and adapt technical solutions for Chassis built in the EM-factories after request from CA Offering.
• To work in close cooperation with CA Offering, Production Engineering, all parts of the CA process in the Tuve factory, Central Design (GTT) and with our counterparts in Gent and Umeå.
• To be able to work both individually and in cross functional groups.
• To contribute to the development of the products and the working methods.
• To monitor and follow the quality of the design solutions.
• To contribute and participate in the product and process projects.
• To drive for the "best practice" in order to reach efficiency.
Requirements for the position and competence needed
• To have a suitable education (preferably university degree).
• Courage and integrity.
• Be business and customer oriented.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
• Knowledge of Volvo system is an advantage
• Eager to learn quickly when facing new problems, analyzing areas for improvements and willing to work in an international environment.
• Quickly adapt to changes.
