We are looking for our next Business Controller to our finance team within Boliden Smelters.
Description
As a Business Controller for Boliden Smelters, you will get a unique opportunity to be a part of Boliden's work dynamic with Boliden Smelters level. You will have a central part of the organization and work closely with top management. In this position you will be a part of Smelters' finance team and report to the Director of Finance. The Group is responsible for the financial management and planning, analysis, follow-up of Boliden's operations both operational and financial and a wide range of projects. You will have many contact points within Boliden's organization, co-operate, support and develop the Smelters organization from a financial perspective.
Key responsibilities:
• Be a Business Partner by both supporting and challenging the business, delivering insights and proposals for improvement.
• Coordinate, prepare, and report budgets, Long-Term Plans (LTP), and forecasts.
• Further develop system, tools and Excel-functions to streamline and automatize processes.
• Control financial performance and coordinate monthly / quarterly financial reporting.
• Provide timely and accurate financial updates to a wide set of stakeholders.
• Continuously develop processes, routines, manuals and more.
You will be part of our finance function for the business area Smelters at Boliden. We are based in Stockholm but the role offers the possibility to visit/work travels to our sites in Sweden, Finland and Norway. You will report to the Finance Director, Smelters.
Qualifications
You have an academic educational background in economics, engineering or equivalent. After that, you have experience from auditing, controlling or consulting. The most important is that you possess analytical skills and an interest in business performance. You have very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and an interest in working with various systems and tools for analytics.
Key qualifications:
• Financial degree from a college or university.
• Accounting skills, financial understanding, and business model understanding.
• Strong communication skills and computer literacy, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Determination, social skills, problem-solving, and initiative.
• Experience in financial work, preferably within mining/metals or process industry.
• Fluent in English.
You are a high performing individual with a great sense of accuracy and the ability to structure and communicate complex information and data. Furthermore, you are self-motivated and a quick learner with the ability to solve different problems.
