Job assignment
The project aims to study how Parkinson's disease arises and develops.
Disease mechanisms will be studied in human cell system using reprogrammed skin cells from Parkinson's disease patients and healthy controls. Potential pathology in the cells will be assessed using gene and protein expression, morphological profiling and assessment of mitochondrial functions and autophagy.
Qualifications
• PhD in Neurobiology with focus on the pathomechanisms of Parkinson's disease.
• Minimum 3 years of postdoctoral research in relevant area.
• Documented experience with cellular reprogramming. In Particular with direct neural conversion of adult human cells.
• Experience with disease modeling.
• Experience with gene and protein expression.
• Ability to use different types of microscopy, including automated assays.
• Good collaborative skills.
• Good presentation skills.
• International research experience.
