Kungsholmens gymnasium/Stockholms musikgymnasium is a successful inner-city gymnasium. Our vision is "Knowledge and Culture (bildning) for an Active Influence in a Globalised World".
We strive to make our students independent and active learners who will be prepared to take responsibility in the world around them during the time they are at our school and continue with this when they leave us.
Our teachers work in teams around the students and our prioritised areas are:
1. To be a Learning Organisation on all levels using relevant research and proven experience as the basis for our activities.
2. To work so that our students see the connections between subjects and in the world around us to create a more holistic view.
We have active and motivated students, a strong Student Union and many clubs and associations ranging from the Debating Society to Amnesty International, and from Fikaföreningen to KGIF.
Publiceringsdatum2016-03-21ArbetsuppgifterWe have a vacancy for an experienced School Librarian who is interested in helping students to learn how to help themselves in their searches for knowledge and education.
Our school has students who study in Swedish and those who study in English and therefore applicants need to be proficient in both languages.
The library is central to the Learning process for our students and plays an important role in helping the students to become active learners.
The Library also keeps records of our teaching materials used by our students and our 1:1 computers.
The person appointed will be responsible for the Library and ensuring that the accessibility for our staff and students is maintained at present levels.
Budget responsibility and leadership of other members of staff related to the Library is also included in this post.
KvalifikationerApplicants should be qualified as Librarians either from a Swedish University or with an equivalent International qualification.
A working knowledge of Swedish and English both verbal and in written form is essential. Experience of working in a gymnasium-level school and with databases and modern technology related to information seeking is required.
We also expect applicants to have experience of leading the work in a library.
