hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Quintus Technologies AB i Västerås As automation engineer you are a key player in developing software, the IT architecture and the external interfaces in Quintus products. You are responsible for the system design and to ensure optimal communication between the hardware units. Based on specifications you will develop software applications and verifiy its functionality. You will also play a vital role in developing the human machine interface and user experience. You will continuously work with product improvements.
An important part of the role will be to contribute and drive the work with modularization and standardization for our products.
We use Windows as operating system. However, it is an advantage if you have experience from Linux. Our HMI is developed in Wonderware and Allen Bradley but in the future more object-oriented programming will be implemented. PLC programming is mainly done in Allen Bradley's system and Siemens.
You will work closely with electrical engineers and fluid systems engineers within the department, but also with your colleagues in Product management and in Customer service.
You report to Manager System Modules. The position is located in Västerås.
Main tasks
Take full responsibility for the configuration, design and delivery of software modules within target
Ensure utilization of standard modules and proven engineering solutions
Develop and maintain HMI and our UX
PLC programming
Ensure safe design and fulfillment of applicable norms and standards
Secure fulfillment of interfaces from customer
Test software and execute design reviews
Specify tests for our products
Drive for added customer value
Drive modularization and standardization
Manage and develop software tools
Your profile
You have an engineering degree preferably within software or automation engineering or similar working experience. You have at least 3 years of experience from working as automation or system control engineer in an industrial setting. You have solid experience working with PLC or other hardware programming. Experience in Wonderware System Platform, Rockwell FactoryTalk or View Designer is an advantage. Experience of SQL databases and working with agile methods is also an advantage.
You are a team player with a genuine technical interest and good communication skills. You have a systematic and structured way of working. You are driven and take ownership for your work.
