Responsibilities
• Responsibility for certain sections of the game (e.g character pipeline, weapons pipeline)
• Maintain product backlogs, set up sprint backlogs
• Launch sprints
• Ensure interdepartmental communication is happening
• Clear blockers for team members
• Set up and launch Strike-Teams to focus on, and address, specific shorter-lived development goals
• Keep track of issues hindering normal development pace
• Work within a cross-functional team to support communication and find solutions to problems
• Maintain relationships with external development partners, for example
• Coordinate relationship between internal and external QA
• Manage relationship with Localization teams
Requirements
• Great understanding of and appreciation for milestones, schedules, deadlines and efficient game development processes
• University degree or equivalent experience
• At least one shipped title
• Strong multi-tasking ability
• Ability to be self-starting and able to work effectively with minimal direction
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, scheduling and time management skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent team player with strong work ethic and a collaborative/cooperative attitude
• Self-motivated, but able to receive constructive feedback and integrate into work
• Strong commitment to quality
• Ability to learn and utilize different database software tools
• Must be able to assist on daily priority needs as they come up within the Production environment
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to provide proactive assistance
MachineGames was established in 2009 by former founding members of Starbreeze Studios and acquired by ZeniMax Media in 2010. Located in Uppsala, Sweden, MachineGames is a studio comprised of a seasoned group of developers recognized for their work creating story-driven games.
