If you are experienced in the pharmaceutical industry and as a leader, join McNeil in this exciting management role getting the opportunity to lead experts! You will get the chance to contribute with your knowledge in reformulation, tech transfer, quality compliance among other areas at the same time as leading a global team of technical experts.
Main duties:
You will have the opportunity to lead and develop a senior team of technical experts in Formulation Design, as well as being responsible for pharmaceutical expertise for marketed products. The team supports the currently marketed OTC products in projects concerning for example reformulation or process improvement and validation. Your team is located in Helsingborg, South Africa, France, Dubai and England, so most of your work is done virtually.
Your focus will be structuring and delegating the workload for the team and to act as a sounding board for your team members. Having a strategic outlook ensuring competence in the team is in line with the market is also an ongoing part of this position.
Depending on your experience, you will be more or less involved operatively in the projects. You are primary contact for the Supply chain leadership and internal commercial partners to communicate on project status and progress. You will also get the chance to participate in various cross-disciplinary groups in an expert capacity. Supporting the tech transfer teams and participating in products remediation activities etc are also part of this position. As well as developing and approving technical expert reports, manufacturing instructions, specifications and ensuring adequate documentation is available to support successful registration of projects.
Qualifications:
We believe that you have worked in the pharmaceutical industry, supporting products currently on the market, for a minimum of 3-5 years. Alternatively you have extensive experience from the R&D perspective. To thrive in this role we also think that you have worked as a manager, currently or in the past, for at least 3 years. You have comprehensive understanding of quality compliance knowledge within EU and demonstrable experience of working with external manufacturers. Your education background is either as a M.Sc. or in Pharmacy. You are fluent in English both verbally and in writing.
Building relationships easily, in person but especially virtually comes natural for you. You are a humble, pragmatic leader but equally clear in your communication and the direction you set out. You are used to and thrive with a high workload, where shifting focus is common and your sense of structure comes to use.
It is metorious if you have experience working with a wide product range and if you have experience both from supporting existing products and R&D. Also if you have knowledge in the Swedish language.
