We are looking for an Analytical Chemist/Specialist to work in the Analytical Chemistry group within Perstorp R&D, Innovation.
Working in R&D often means to look a little bit further and to understand the underlying problem to be able to adequately contribute to the solutions. The main responsibility for R&D is to contribute to the innovation process, comprising application, product and process development, within the Perstorp Group and also to support business in all types of customer relations.
You will have the analytical responsibility in our R&D projects. You will also participate in customer support and internal technical support activities as the analytical expert. There will be analytical consultancy internally as well as externally.
Your assignments will be hands on analyses in the laboratory as well as desktop studies and assistance in administrative tasks. Active participation in the department's technical and methodological development is crucial. Guidance and knowledge sharing with colleagues is important.
What we expect from you is the willingness to show an open-minded attitude and a collaborative way of working striving for knowledge sharing with your colleagues. To succeed in R&D you are able to obtain results by being creative and energetic. Goal orientation is a key for us showing the endurance to obtain results but also to have the flexibility to change direction and to take on new tasks. Communication and networking skills are keys for success and presenting results and writing extended reports should come naturally.
We believe you have a M.Sc or a PhD with an analytical chemistry/organic chemistry profile with some years experience, preferably in the coating analytical field and from industrial R&D work or similar. Deeper knowledge in analytical areas like chromatography, spectroscopy, thermo/physical, polymer characterization, structural analysis is highly appreciated. Managerial experiences/skills are also acknowledged.
