We are looking for an Accounting Manager to our Swedish office who will be responsible for accounting for Sweden but also for Brazil and UK.
The team you will be part of consists of four people, three located in our Malmö office and one in our London office. The team belongs to a much larger global financial department located in Brussels who we work closely with. The team reports to Marcus, our CFO for the operations in Sweden. Marcus gives us the opportunity to work in a flat organization with short decision paths. Your work assignments
For Sweden, you will be responsible for accounting, financial reporting and ad-hoc tasks like consolidating financial information to different stakeholders. As Accounting Manager a small part of this role will be financial reporting and budgeting for our two daughter companies in Brazil and UK.
For Sweden, you will drive the development and improve quality and efficiency of our accounting processes. With support from our accounting assistant Ellen, you will perform tasks like accounting, taxes, monthly closing, reporting, budgeting and day-to-day bookkeeping and other ad-hoc tasks. We believe that you will be a support to different stakeholders in our organization by collecting and consolidate financial information. You will also be the point of contact for our external payroll supplier.
To succeed in the position it is important to be able to work operationally as well as strategically, in team as well as independently and locally as well as globally.
This position will involve about 20 travel days per year, mainly to Brussels, Rio de Janeiro and London. A part of your introduction will likely be hold by our knowledgeable colleague Helen at our London office (if you start before her maternity leave).
Your background
We believe you hold a Master degree of Science in Business and Economics and have about five years of experience working with accounting, taxes, closings, financial reporting and budgeting. You must have advanced accounting skills regarding Swedish GAAP. If you have previous experience of salaries that would be meritorious. IFRS is an advantage but if you do not have this knowledge yet, you will of course get to learn this.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office is necessary and advanced skills in Excel is a must. We use Jeeves, and it is a plus if you have worked in this system before otherwise you need to have experience from another big ERP system.
It is required that you are fluent in Swedish and English, both written and verbally, and it is preferable that you have international experience.
