Our Exciting Opportunity
Customer interest and expectations of security are growing, especially with the introduction of 5G and related services. The protection of information is critical to our business, reputation, and brand. It is therefore essential that our customers can trust that our products and the technology behind them are secure.
We are now searching for Lab supporting engineer for the Vulnerability Analysis (VA) section in the new DNEW (Development Unit Networks) Network Systems and Verification, section Vulnerability Analysis and Robustness test.
You will work in a team that is responsible for Vulnerability Analysis of Radio Access Network (RAN) products, with focus on 5G and you will be involved troubleshooting and helping VA teams to configure lab environment for new challenging configurations.
You will
Maintain and prepare VA test environment - lab setup (4G/5G Traffic, IP connectivity, troubleshooting and configuration changes.
Help team to maintain related lab documentation.
Plan System Test Plant (STP) rebuild and lab expansion together with the teams.
Be the contact to lab support organizations within Ericsson.
Deploy new tools.
Co-ordinate lab activities towards project/programs.
Identify and drive lab improvements.
Be responsible/Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for change weekends in VA organization.
Estimate cost/Forecast for coming year in agreement with Test Managers and Operational Product Owner (OPO's).
Analyse hardware being ordered and its accessories such as cables, Network Interface Controller (NIC's), Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) etc.
Educate teams in different areas if needed.
To be successful in the role you must have
BSc/MSc level in a technical field or the equivalent level of knowledge.
At least 3-5 years experience in the mobile system area.
Genuine interest in lab network design, lab support and lab trouble shooting.
Understanding of GIT and Gerrit software tools.
A result-orientated, problem solving, end-to-end thinking and value driven development mentality.
Ability to communicate and present results in English, both verbally and in written.
Collaboration, teamwork, and communication skills.
