• Conduct inspections, investigations, and appraisals, make recommendations and oversee the implementation of changes concerning safe work practices and procedures.
• Maintaining records required by all local regulatory authorities.
• Able to develop the instructions related to the Health and Safety at work.
• Participation in the safety inspections carried out by internal and external bodies.
• Prepare daily site safety inspection reports.
• Develop the Health and Safety training materials depending on needs.
• Check the all mandatory documents of the new employees are valid and
• Ensuring all mandatory H&S trainings are made on time such as project safety induction training for new employees (first day training) and collect and register records of the trainings.
• Participation in the Health and Safety Committee meetings.
• Conducting post-accident documentation, including records of accident (of accidents at work and accidents in the delegation).
• Conducting and updating occupational risks register.
• Ensuring all materials (i.e. sings, posters, instructions, ER procedure, site evacuation plan etc.) related to Health and Safety are updated and ensure that they are on their place.
• Promoting Health and Safety culture and initiatives.
• Provide direct support to employees with Health and Safety concerns or questions.
• Maintain a close relationship with Project's HS Manager.
• Maintains document management system such that documents can be easily retrieved to demonstrate HS compliance.
Qualifications:
• Engineering degree + postgraduate studies on Health and Safety.
• Preferably OHSAS 18001 and/or ISO 9001 training attendance certificate holder.
• Familiar with policies, procedures and good practices regarding Environment, Health and Safety
• Minimum 4 years of experience as Health and Safety Specialist in the international organization
• Able to communicate clearly and precisely, in both written and verbal communications in English.
• Comfortable with developing and delivering presentations to employees of all levels
• Self-confident hands-on approach and ability to effect change
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Fluent in English
• Readiness for occasional business trips
