Job Description
Are you a creative and experienced Designer with a passion for handbags?
We're looking for a Handbag Designer with a strong fashion sensibility, clear vision, and a sharp commercial eye to help drive our Women's Accessories assortment forward.
You'll thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, working with youthful, elevated fashion products designed to welcome everyone. Our target customer is a fashion-aspirer woman who wants the latest in style - from timeless essentials to must-have statement pieces.
In this role, you'll identify and develop key handbag products, translating trends and insights into a relevant, commercial, and fashion-forward assortment. You'll bring strong design process skills, confidence in building cohesive collections, and a deep understanding of materials, construction, and quality aligned with the collection vision.
You'll clearly communicate your creative ideas with both fashion authority and commercial focus, working close to season with a proactive, high-energy approach. Collaboration is key - you'll build and maintain strong relationships across internal teams and with external partners.
As part of a global team, you'll help deliver standout handbag collections across all H&M omni channels worldwide. Your design handwriting will demonstrate a high fashion level, strong trend awareness, and a consistent focus on our target customer - all while maintaining cost consciousness throughout the design process.
This role calls for energy, creativity, and leadership, with experience in coaching and inspiring others toward commercial success.

Qualifications
A minimum of a BA/MA or equivalent experience in Accessories and/or handbags.
Minimum of 3 - 4 years' work experience as a Designer with a strength in overall collection building
Background from an aspirational global brand or retailer
Attention to detail and construction
A visionary mindset with true passion for women's fashion, current and future trends
A strong customer focus and commercial mindset for the H&M customer
Experience working with suppliers/factories in Asia and Europe
Strong skills in and used to working in Adobe Creative Suite programs

Demonstrated communication skills and true collaborative team player
Leadership and coaching mindset
Independent and proactive approach
Able to set priorities with an organized & structured approach
Flexible mindset and adaptable to changes in a fast moving & growing industry
Fluent in English (Swedish not necessary)

Additional Information
This position is based in Stockholm. You will report to the department Assortment Designer
