Volvo Autonomous Solutions is a new Business Area within the Volvo Group with the mission to offer autonomous transport solutions. Together we will work on autonomous solutions that will challenge current standards and take us into the future. With entirely new business models and advanced technology we will meet and exceed expectations from customers and contribute to a society we want to live in. We will accelerate the development, commercialization and sales of autonomous transport solutions within the Volvo Group. We combine a typical start-up's agility with the strength of belonging to the Volvo Group.
There's already about 200 of us and together we form a strong team ready to tackle the big challenges we have ahead of us. We are now looking for Feature Managers that will join the team and work with the design of the operation from a customer perspective. The end result is documentation of customer requirements and Use Cases.
What will you be doing?
You will facilitate the balancing of targets and requirements for our autonomous systems in customer sites, and you will be responsible for documenting the agreed project descriptions and use cases. This includes:
The work starts in the early pre-study phases with understanding the customers current operation and how this will be impacted by an automated operation. The result of this work forms the basis and targets for the development of the complete system.
Your job will also be to make sure that the Use Case- and Requirements documentation always are up to date and reflects both the customer expectations as well as the technical solution.
In the late phases of the projects the documentation is the foundation for training material, operator's manuals and other customer-related documentations.
During all phases you will work close together with our experienced Project Managers and development engineers.

In this role you will be travelling to customer sites and proving grounds in order to fully understand the operation. You will gain a very good overall understanding for Autonomous Transport solutions and you will be looking for all kind of improvements, making our offer the most competitive in the business.

Who are you?
To succeed in this position, you have a genuine interest for understanding our customers processes and how to apply an automated system in an easy to understand and intuitive way for the operators. You may even have an experience from customer operations in mines, open pits, harbors or similar.
We believe that a key competence for this role is the ability to capture the operation in an unambiguous documentation of Use Cases and Requirements. In connection to this, we also believe it is important with a analytic mindset and holistic view in what you do.
We also believe you enjoy working with others as this job is a lot about collaborations, customer- and internal relations. For us this means that you should be a good listener, communicator and that you have the ability to connect with other people.
Other important competencies for the position:
Documentation skills
Strong interest and understanding of process operations
Machine and/or truck knowledge
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
