hela Sverige King, is seeking to employ a VP of Games to be based out of our Stockholm office.
The role will support the development of our new games portfolio and will lead / drive the creation of game concepts and coach multiple games teams. You will partake in highly agile and interactive game design. The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree with an extensive proven track record of creating and designing big hit Casual Game experiences. You will have Extensive experience of online, mobile and social games, including "games as a service".
As a passionate creative leader, you will act as a change agent during the ongoing studio structure/process transition. You will actively and positively impact product design and player experience across the entire organization, helping to grow a culture of creative inspiration, knowledge-sharing, and player hospitality.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with player insights, business performance, and studio leaders to identify new opportunities for both new IP as well as games within existing franchises.
• Work closely with small game teams to deliver prototypes for internal and external (player) validation, with the ultimate goal of putting new games confidently into production
• As a member of King's creative council, review all games in concept and pre-production to guide portfolio decisions and provide actionable feedback to teams
• Mentor designers and creative leads throughout the organization to help teams create and communicate a clear vision and pillars for every game, and deliver innovative and lifelong experiences to players
• Partner with executives, peers, and individual contributors across studios to help sustain and grow a curious, humble, visionary culture that inspires the best outcomes for employees, the company, and our players
Skills to create thrills:
• Extensive knowledge of creating and designing innovative Casual Game experiences
• A proven track record of creating mobile hit games with big audiences
• Solid experience of F2P Online, Mobile and Social games
• Clear understanding of players' preferences and what makes an engaging game that keep users coming back for more
• Great communication skills, being able to formalize and present ideas and concepts that cover the full spectrum from inspiration to usable specifications
• Experience in coaching and leading successful teams in an agile fashion where you inspire the team to deliver their game vision in a collaborative fashion
