hela Sverige As Vice President Process and IT you will have the global responsibility for the performance and development of Process and IT. You will report to SVP Powertrain Production, Group Trucks Operations
Powertrain Production is an industrial unit within Group Trucks Operations and one of the world's largest manufacturers of heavy-duty diesel engines for commercial vehicles.
Powertrain production provides diesel engines and transmission systems to the Volvo Group and also remanufactures a range of products for the after market
Powertrain Production has facilities in Japan, USA, Brazil, France, Sweden and Spain.
Critical competencies for the position
With a real talent for cultural integration and business analyses, the VP Process and IT holds a university degree or MBA in relevant field and is able to demonstrate successful international and multi-cultural business experience from global Process and IT operations, preferably in the production area. As VP Process and IT you need to have a documented experience gained from position as Vice President or other equivalent senior management positions, preferably within Powertrain area in Volvo.
As a leader you inspire and coach your team members towards set targets. You are commercially oriented, intuitive and have excellent communication and team-working skills. Being familiar and an active practitioner of modern managing principles and techniques within a global organization, you combine that with having a deep understanding of both business and IT. You leverage that with a capability to actively use Information Technology to find new ways of developing the business for the future.
You have experience from managing complex projects and solutions within industrial companies. Your experience from and/or good understanding of the Volvo business is an advantage as well as having solid understanding and experience from the Volvo Group way of managing IT and Volvo methods and standards. It is important to be cost conscious and have a strong track record in setting and reaching budgets and targets.
Defining and continuously managing the process and IT directions, demands and roadmaps in Powertrain Production aligned with the business objectives and the IS/IT framework and directions set by Corporate CIO.
Demonstrating a high and solid level in each of the Volvo Group Leadership competencies for the leading business level, the Operational VP Process and IT will be an inspiring and inclusive leader as well as an active team worker.
Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of ?flexibility?, including the ability to network effectively across a diverse customer base and to build enduring relationships across functional areas and geographical areas.
Significant change management experience and demonstrated ability to set demanding targets and to motivate teams and individuals to deliver outside their comfort zones, whilst further developing an excellent working climate and atmosphere in alignment with the Volvo Way and the Code of Conduct.
The VP Process and IT has willingness and ability to travel as needed and as all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required.
