We are looking for a passionate manager to lead our Global Operations organization to the next level of supply and manufacturing excellence.
Our Global Operations' vision is to establish a customer focused and proactive way of working, where delivery capability is a competitive advantage and continuous improvements, integrated leadership and empowered employees are natural parts of our desired culture.
Global Operations consists of four operative manufacturing branches; Inserts, Tools, Round Tools and Custom Products. The first three are governed by Global Operations while all Custom Products units are operationally controlled by Global Production, but governed by the Product Centers or Sales Units respectively. Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and QEHS are also part of Global Operations. Operations have around 2.000 co-workers located at nine factories and 16 Custom Products units in 10 different countries.
As Vice President for Global Operations, you are an active member of Seco Executive Management team and report directly to the President of Seco Tools.
While the location for this position is flexible, a significant part of your time is required at Seco HQ in Fagersta, Sweden and extensive international travelling is a natural part of this job.
Key performance areas
In this position, you apply a cross functional mindset - with a one company perspective - striving for a truly collaborative culture. You lead the co-creation of a strategy that provides clear direction to develop state-of the art operations worldwide as well as cultural transformation following the technology change. With the global footprint, you bring high flexibility that balances demand, capacity and specialization for capturing current and future business opportunities.
Important parts of this role are to deliver and follow up on operations performance in all aspects; quality, environment, health, safety, delivery, profitability and productivity. You are also recognized as a promoter of strong collaboration with all product areas within Sandvik Machining Solutions (SMS) to bring the entire business area to the next level.
As leader, you coach and challenge your team in order to develop both people and the organization. In addition, you possess solid change management capabilities and engage yourself in growing talents and securing effective succession planning.
For this position, we are looking for someone with a strong manufacturing and supply chain background and a successful track record from senior leadership positions where your people management skills have made a true difference.
