Your mission and responsibilities
As Vice President and CIO for SMS, you have a key role in our digital shift as you set the consolidated strategic direction for IT within the business area segment. You translate strategies into clear expectations and key metrics for the divisions within SMS as well as Sandvik Group IT - both short- and long-term - and you follow up on the performance to ensure adherence. High on the agenda is modernizing and globalizing our business IT processes and applications as well as creating a seamless integration of newly acquired companies, all in strong collaboration across our divisions. To ensure capacity and balance the business demands, you work with both in-house resources across our SMS divisions and other Sandvik businesses as well as establishing and maintaining strategic external alliances.
We act in an ever-changing environment with new technologies emerging every day. To stay ahead, you actively monitor advancements and trends, and you identify innovative and efficient solutions that generate a competitive advantage for us - both now and in the future. Sustainability is a high focus, as well as cloud transformation and digital upskilling.
You're an important connection towards the Sandvik Group IT community, and you lead the SMS IT management team - bringing IT representatives across our divisions together to share information and to accommodate common aligned IT activities. To ensure alignment with the Sandvik Group's common IT strategy and roadmap, you represent SMS in key councils and forums, as well as in the Sandvik IT management team.
You report to the President of Sandvik Machining Solutions and represents the IT organization in the SMS management team. The location for this role is preferably Stockholm, Sweden, but other locations can be considered for the right candidate. Global travel is a natural part of the job.
