User Experience as a discipline is a key part of Volvo Cars' strategy and a newly formed UX organization will help gather insights about our user's and redefine and elevate the users experience of Volvo's products and Services.
We are seeking a UX Technology Designer to expand our team.
Your mission
As a UX Technology Designer on the UX Vision team, you will work on defining the In and Around Car User Experience by exploring new technologies and applications. This includes HW & SW covering multiple modalities serving the future user experience. Your responsibility will be to deliver Car UX design evaluations, recommendations and strategies by explorations, user testing and demonstrations of experience prototypes. Results and strategies will be delivered actions and relevant documentation, user tests summaries, and prototypes that balance design aesthetics with intuitive functionality.
You will collaborate with other designers and ensure a seamless customer experience across Volvo's Car UX landscape. And as part of the Vision team, you will set the agenda, communicate ideas and rationale with your team using explorative insights and user test data.
As a UX Tech Designer you advocate for the user, you will develop a deep skill of matching new UX technologies insights with our UX Vision and customer needs, serving as an expert for your team and develop ideas for new and enhanced features.
Who you are
• You've been working with UX driven tech explorations for 5+ years for a consumer-focused tech company, so you understand what it takes to create elegant, consumer-oriented experiences.
• You put UX Design at the forefront in every sense and use a full range of skills-Curiosity, New technologies explorations, analytical methods, product design, interaction design, and visual design - to ensure you deliver magical experiences to the customer.
• You are a strong collaborator, who can work with not only design partners, but many other stakeholders from marketing to engineering external suppliers and researchers.
• You have a people-focused design mentality. Constantly looking to hone your design instinct through user feedback. Whether that's hands-on user research or a quantitative A/B test.
