This Spring we are offering an Internship with our Transaction Diligence team within EY Strategy and Transactions (SaT). The full-time Internship is for a period of 8-12 weeks, flexible dates.

The opportunity
EY Strategy and Transactions (SaT) advise clients in all aspects of (M&A) transactions. Our transaction professionals work in an international environment and cover a wide spectrum of industries. Teaming is crucial to our success. Our clients are the leading Nordic and international private equity houses and corporates. We often work closely together with the major investment banks, strategy houses and law firms as part of a wider team of advisors to create value for our clients.

During your Internship, you will work as part of our team on interesting projects where your analytical skills will be challenged. You can expect full support from great colleagues, a buddy to help you settle in and a supervisor who provides you with continuous feedback and follows your development.

What we do at Transaction Diligence
Financial due diligence in M&A transactions on both buy-side and sell-side mandates.

Our responsibilities include:
Establish and evaluate businesses' underlying profitability (EBIT/EBITDA)
Identify and understand key business drivers ("the story behind the numbers")
Establish and evaluate normalized net working capital requirements
Identify possible risks related to the transaction and advise our client on how to mitigate them
Calculate adjustments to the purchase price and evaluate closing mechanisms

To qualify for the role
Future degree within Finance, Accounting or Economics with good academic results; candidates with a future degree within (Industrial) Management, Engineering or Mathematics can also be considered, provided they have extracurriculars or prior work experience in related fields (finance and accounting)
Fluent in English and Swedish or another Nordic language
