Sandvik Materials Technology's Compliance function is a sub-function of SMT Legal. We are responsible for roll-out of the Sandvik Group's Compliance program consisting of four main areas: Anti-bribery and Corruption, Competition Law, Trade Compliance and Data Privacy.

Currently we are looking for a Trade Compliance Advisor for a position based in Sandviken or Stockholm.

Job Summary

As a Trade Compliance Advisor you are responsible for the implementation of the Sandvik Group's Trade Compliance program within business area SMT.

The position includes:

• Creating improved quality and robust procedures through global ownership and a common way of working. This will be achieved by managing and encouraging change through the whole business area

• Coordinating and ensuring that export/import control and customs procedures within the business area ("BA") comply with international trade regulations and providing strategic and tactical management within the BA with a key focus on compliance risks and financial benefits

• Daily advice to the business operations within the trade compliance area

• Compliance review and project planning with the Sandvik Trade Compliance Team - to align goals and activities with Group-common strategy and goals and to ensure that processes and requirements get implemented

• Analysis of current way of working with trade compliance in order to identify improvement areas and prioritize the way forward

• Process development and improvement- creating processes to increase compliance and best practice

• Building and maintaining a network of compliance contacts within the BA - to secure ownership and responsibility of trade compliance areas

• Design and conduct trainings to create awareness about trade compliance in daily operations and to utilize trade compliance advantages

• Project planning with management teams to anchor trade compliance initiatives and align them with the overall strategy

• Assistance with product classifications, handling of systems and internal reporting

Some international travel may be required.

We are looking for someone with a degree in economics, law or other relevant field and several years' experience with trade compliance. Relevant experience with larger companies or government agencies, as well as with a sales organization, is particularly advantageous, as are contacts in government agencies. As we are based in Sweden but act in the international arena, your communication skills in English and Swedish must be excellent.
