Essential Responsibilities:
During any of the global travel for the installation assignments you will mostly be accompanied with one colleague from factory in Uppsala or a local country GE engineer. A typical installation travel spans between 1 to 4 weeks.
• You will interface with other departments like Supply chain teams, local and regional service, Project Management Office coordinators at GE Healthcare and Customers
• In this role you are a member of the global modality service team
• A strong understanding how product quality is linked with the system performance is a must and will be a significant driver for a successful installation
• As TC Install Specialist you will have the opportunity to grow your technical competences on all TC products: Cyclotron, Chemistry modules, Quality test modules and radiation shielding devices for these equipment's
• The TC Installation Specialist is responsible for the mechanical install of GE Healthcare Cyclotron products globally, ensuring that installations are completed in a timely and quality manner in accordance with defined goals and milestones
• The TC Installation Specialist will perform and manage the main task for Rigging and Mech Assembly for the GE products and install site infrastructure support (cooling water tubes, Gases lines, Air tubes, Cabling, Epoxy flooring, Radiation shielding)
• The TC Installation Specialists must be able to develop effective working relationship with the client and the installation team members, and must demonstrate a high level of composure, professionalism, and knowledge of healthcare business environments
• The TC Installation Specialists will support SupplyChain for rigging, assembly, testing and packing of products manufactured at Cyclotron and TRACERcenter facility in Uppsala while not performing Installation work at customer sites
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Background of mechanical assembly work is a must
• Previous similar installation experience
• Be able to develop an effective working relationship with the client and the installation team members. Demonstrate a high level of composure, professionalism, and knowledge of healthcare business environments
• Must be able to travel 60-80%
• Must be able to travel to any country i.e. no visa/travel restrictions
• Able to act as a project manager as needed or requested
• Independently lead a customer through all aspects of the installation project implementation phase (Shipping, Rigging, Assembly, Start-up, Reporting)
• Work well within a team and effectively communicate with team members and with all levels within the client organization
• Skilled expertise with Microsoft Office tools
• High degree of quality awareness
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills, ability to work with teams and customers
• Fluent in English - written and spoken
Desired Characteristics:
• Preferred minimum education: Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge/experience)
• Fluent in other languages preferably Chinese
• Radiation trained
• EU work permit
• Knowledge of Workflow in a Physician Practice, Hospital or Clinic environment and/or experience installing patient financial or patient access software
