The department lead and plan Vehicle Engineering deliveries including geometry, attribute deliveries and pre series builds. We also balance attributes, functions and system solutions towards complete vehicle and platform requirements and budget. As well as manage the task according to method of working and secure an anchor result at line organisation.
Section Test Object Management (TOM) leads the Test Object team, in all phases of a project, to deliver Test Objects and Testing Cost within given frames. We are working with vehicle programs, decoupled development tasks, unit programs and architecture studies. The section consists of 20 people.
Main responsibilities
* Report project status to Project Leader- Vehicle Engineering through the PSR tool (Program Status Report)
* Leads and plans all Test object builds in all Volvo Cars plants (incl. China)
* Approve updates of Test Objects build plan
* Approve all Test Object cost against given frame
* Approve and plans all update need
* Approve all project unique equipment needed for pre series build
Required qualifications
* High school engineer or equivalent experience
* Leadership experience and ability to cooperate and communicate
* TCE User
* Automotive knowledge
* Office applications
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Drivers license (B)
