hela Sverige Product development and design of water treatment equipment is a part of Wärtsilä's global operations for environmental solutions. Within the group we are responsible for new and continued development of water purification systems for our clients in the energy market and the marine sector. The plants are specifically designed for given conditions in a close collaboration with end users. To this group we are looking for a test and product support Engineer with experience to handle technical and operational work in our test lab and in field.
Responsibilities:
• Execution of assembling, operation and performance evaluation of new equipment/prototypes/pilots in Wärtsilä test-lab.
• Commissioning of pilot units, follow up and report feed back from field.
• Provide technical support and knowledge transfer according new pilot units to field service engineers and manufacturing personnel.
• Provide reports and product specific technical documentation.
• Research and validation of alternative equipment (product
care/improvements).
• Field test preparation and execution.
• Perform daily office activities as required.
Requirements:
• Education: BSc or advanced vocational education in relevant field (Mech., Marine, El. Engineering). Alternatively, you have acquired equivalent knowledge through work experience. Knowledge of electricity, electrical components /devices, control systems and instrumentation required.
• Experiences: More than 3 years experience of similar tasks.
• Competencies: You have work experience in water treatment plants or similar process systems. Your background is for example operating engineer /plant technician. Basic knowledge of CAD is an advantage.
• We operate in an international environment, so you should be able to communicate freely in spoken and written English.
• Travel will be a substantial part of the position.
