What do we offer?
Propulsion & Climate Labs is Volvo Cars' Centre for testing of propulsion systems, in complete vehicle as well as in component form. We operate and develop propulsion test facilities for vehicles, drivelines, electric motors, batteries and transmissions, as well as aerodynamic and climatic testing. We are in a technology shift were the design is changing in a rapid pace and we as a team needs to be agile and at the same time deliver repeatable and precise data.
To meet the future, we need to utilize state of the art methods to test and verify next generation cars in an efficient and correct manner. What you'll do
You will be responsible for the daily operations in the charging lab, your focus will be to ensure that all test equipment used is maintained and calibrated. You will have a close collaboration with the development team that will perform the tests of the chargers, you will support and act as the superuser of all equipment. You will also be involved in the development activities in their team.
You will be the interface between the team using the lab, maintenance and our suppliers. You will plan, trouble shoot and find solutions in order to make everything work smoothly. You will need to constantly learn new test methods and test systems as the technical area is still evolving and VCC has the ambition to be leading in electrification.
Skills and Experience are Important
We see that you have a bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering, Mechatronics or similar and an interest in in computer networks and communication. You will also need a Driver's license B valid in Sweden and knowledge in below tech:
• Programming Python, C++ or similar
• TCP/IP and network protocol
• INCA and Canalyzer
If you possess prior experience from HW and SW test automation or lab work as well as from agile way of working, it is considered meritorious.

You are a self-driven person, with a genuine interest in development of Electric vehicles and their energy systems, and more specifically in the tools and facilities needed for the development of such systems. You are not afraid of taking initiative, have strong communication skills and enjoy the opportunity to make impact. You are structured, patience and have the ability to keep accuracy over time. You are curios and love to learn new things.
