Scania is currently in a transformation phase from a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to become a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions. The group Engine front end systems and electrics, NMDF, is responsible for the development of the engine's electromechanical components; alternators, and starter motors. The group's responsibilities are also within belt drive system and A/C compressors. We are now facing exciting times with the development of new technologies in cooperation within the TRATON Group. If you want to be a part of this journey, we are currently looking for a test engineer responsible for the testing of the groups components.
Your role
As a test engineer, you will work together with the team and learn about the powertrain system. Your focus area will be testing and development of belt drive, A/C compressor, starter motor & alternator. You will drive the development; through concept development, validation and verification. You will have an opportunity to deepen your technical knowledge and build a vast cross-functional network within the company.
Your main tasks will consist of:
• Create and perform testing in engine testbeds as well as on complete vehicles.
• Analyse and reporting of test results.
• Drive the develop NMDF's test methods
• Be a part of technical discussions and find the best technical solutions to different problems.
• Have contact and collaboration with our suppliers
• Development of test riggs component testing
Your profile
We are looking for someone that wants to learn and develop one of the most complex systems on our trucks and buses. You are engaged and committed to your work. You take your own initiative and use your curiosity and logical thinking to navigate through different problems. By others, you are described as a fast learner, thorough, analytic, communicative, and flexible. You are humble and execute your work without prestige.
• You have a bachelor's or master's degree within the relevant engineering area
• You have experience from or willing to learn Rotec and Dewesoft
• You are capable of expressing yourself fluently in English.
• Driver license C, CE, and driving experience are meriting.
• Earlier experience of hardware testing is meriting.
• Earlier experience within Scania is meriting.
