SSE invites applications at the assistant professor level for a tenure track position in business administration, with a focus on operations and innovation management. Applicants are expected to engage in both research and teaching in one or both these areas. However, an ability to teach outside these areas is valuable.
The position is located at the department of Management and Organization at the Stockholm School of Economics. The department consists of 7 full professors, 10 associate professors, 8 assistant professors and 25 PhD students. It carries out research and teaching in eight different areas: operations management, innovation management, information management, entrepreneurship, leadership, corporate governance, human resource management and organization theory. The department contributes to teaching in the bachelor, master, PhD, EMBA and executive education programs at SSE.
The tenure track period is 6 years conditional on successful mid-term review after 3 years. The tenure evaluation takes place after maximum 6 years, and successful evaluation leads to conversion of the tenure-track position to a tenured associate professor position.
Qualified candidates should hold a doctoral degree or its equivalent, or must have completed said requirement before taking up the position. Candidates are expected to be strong in terms of both research and teaching. In research, the successful candidate should exhibit a research track record, as evidenced by publications in well-reputed scientific journals, a presence in the international research community and a strong research and publication pipeline.
