This is the Group Trucks Technology Legal team
The GTT Legal team comprises of nine experienced and highly skilled lawyers and administrative colleagues operating in a truly global environment. We value collaboration, diversity and a creative workplace. One of our colleagues has recently moved within the Volvo Group to a senior leadership position and we are thus now looking for a new colleague to join us.
Role description
Our new Legal Counsel colleague will play a key role in providing proactive and business-oriented legal support to the GTT organization. In this role our new Legal Counsel will provide general legal advice and support to the daily business operations, which mainly includes the drafting and negotiation of various complex commercial agreements including partnership-, research-, development- and technology license agreements as well as providing legal support with respect to privacy, IPR, open source, security, software and data matters and a broad range of other legal topics. Also, providing relevant trainings and supporting documents such as contract templates and guidelines will be part of the work tasks.
Qualifications
A university degree in law with at least 7 -10 years' experience from a law firm or as in-house legal counsel or equivalent experience
High proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex international contracts combined with solid experience and knowledge in contract- and commercial law
Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities and very good ability to apply legal- as well as business- and financial aspects in providing legal advice
Excellent networking and communication skills, including strong ability to build relationships
A proactive self-starter, comfortable operating autonomously but also a true team player
Good judgment and strong professionalism with integrity
High drive and energy - capability to drive change
A genuine interest in technology
