Description
The Product Development Centre (PDC) in Lund is a highly flexible pilot facility for developing new food products as well carrying out validation trials in-house. Through trials in pilot scale, visiting food companies find out the best recipes and operating parameters.
In our laboratory food products are evaluated during pilot plant trials. We also receive samples from customer's sites for evaluation. Data from the evaluations are used for design and to tailor Tetra Pak delivered solutions.
As Technologist, you will be responsible for evaluation of food properties when it comes to rheology, particle size distribution, droplet size distribution but also for some basic analysis.
Customers are doing pilot trials in our facility every second day. This means that you will be handling high expectations representing Tetra Pak in discussions within your area of responsibility.
This position is based in Lund, Sweden and may require travelling of up to 10%.
Main responsibilities
• Conduct analyses, evaluate, register data and make recommendations
• Communicate with Tetra Pak colleagues globally regarding analyses and rheology
• Support Tetra Pak customers at our or their site
• Manage a database
• Support sales and calculation teams in rheology understanding
• Represent Tetra Pak in a professional manner during customer trials
Qualifications
The successful candidate is a skilled communicator and has a structured and service minded approach. Practical work in laboratories comes natural to you. You are a true team player and feel comfortable in communicating and networking with colleagues throughout the organization.
Your educational background is university degree in chemistry, food technology or equivalent. As our customers and contacts are from all over the world fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
