Your role and responsibilities
As part of this team, you will be the Technical Product Lead for the Slab products segment within Metallurgy Products. In this important role, you will be a key-player within R&D for the product segment working with the bigger picture and strategy but also with the ability to go deeper into the specific technical areas.
The quality and innovation of the engineering in our products, systems and service offerings keeps our customers ahead. Developing solutions for our customers all over the world and working on our market-leading technologies will challenge and enrich your work and your mind.
At ABB Metallurgy we produce electromagnetic stirrers to the steel and aluminum industries. Primary customers are steel and aluminum plants.
You will together with key players work with the current but also the future offering within the slab segment
Lead key collaboration projects within R&D together with customers and partners
Drive the development within open and closed loop control
Electromagnetic design within the Slab product segment
Support in sales and delivery projects
Collaborating and networking with engineering colleagues, sharing best practice across different projects and disciplines.

Qualifications for the role
A M.Sc or higher within the engineering physics field or similar.
Experience within Electromagnetic analysis and mathematical modelling.
Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
Good knowledge within the field of open and closed loop control
Good knowledge of the Steel industry with focus on the casting process.
Speak and write fluently in both Swedish and English.
A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
