The department Electrical Systems Integration & Electrical Development Process is responsible for system integration and testing of the complete electrical system and for management of the complete electrical development process in MIL, HIL and SIL environment. Today the department consists of one section and three groups.
As Technical Expert CM with focus on SW and HW in a mechatronic context, one area will be to fully support Continuous Integration and Deployment over the Vehicles complete life cycle. Software is already a large part of our cars today and it continuous to grow - both from a volume and complexity perspective. To keep up with these challenges VCC need to continuously define more efficient way of working with software development - both towards external software suppliers developing software but especially for the growing VCC in-house software development factory. There is a constant need to improve software development processes and related tool chains to make development more and more automated and faster to meet needs for reduced lead time and high quality products. We have focus on Continuous Integration & Development.
Main responsibilities
Internal:
* CM implement the strategies, policies, procedures, techniques and tools
* CM manage, evaluate proposed changes, track the status of changes
* CM maintain an inventory of systems and support documents as the system changes
* CM tool framework incl. support, coordination and review
* PLM, product structure definition
* Variance, How to control and trace dependencies
* Life cycle management, CM way of working
* Major drivers, Continuous Integration & Deployment, OTA
* Standards as ISO 26262 put formal requirements and control traceability
External
* Deliver applications for research and innovation projects which are co-financed by the authorities
* Establish/maintain research network towards companies, academia (SW Center, Chalmers, MAH)
* Establish/maintain relations with universities through supervision of doctorate and thesis works.
* Proactively participate in standardization work
* Proactively participate in seminars, conferences and conventions
* On request support in contacts with authorities, e.g. in legal matter
Required qualifications
* Minimum Master degree or equivalent within relevant field, Software, Electrical/Electronics
* 10 years of experience in CM and Software Development, Software requirements, Software Architecture/design, Software Implementation, Software Integration and Test
* Demonstrated capability and willingness to teach / coach / mentor
* Documented high level of communication skill and presentation techniques
* Demonstrated initiative and capability to provide technical leadership to peers and management
* Experience of leading and development of teams
* Experience of SW tool chains, e.g. TCr, Elektra, Mathworks products, SVN, Jira, Autosar Tier2 tools.
* Experience of project management, including agile methods (e.g. Scrum, SAFe), configuration management, test management, and QA.
* Ability to drive, motivate and convince. Easy to communicate with people.
