We look for a Team Leader for the Product Configuration area
You will be a part of journey to develop Volvo's way of working within the Product Configuration area and support a broad user base such as Designers, Geometry Architects, Sales representatives, Aftermarket and users within GTO, with a specific focus on IT solutions supporting this.

A Team Leader IT is overall responsible for the delivery of a team. The Team Lead is expected to be operational in the delivery but also to be responsible for the team delivery. The Team Leader IT is expected to have a good knowledge and experience either in a relevant technology or/and in a business solution/process, combined with good leadership skills.

Key responsibilities and expectations

Solution
• Plan, inform, co-ordinate, distribute, implement and monitor the team's activities on a daily and regular basis to create an efficient work distribution
• Ensure execution, follow up and report on agreed performance indicators and targets
• Manage deliveries according to agreed estimations on cost, time and quality
• Secure a professional relationship with other stakeholders within the delivery organization, to ensure an efficient End-To-End-delivery
• Initiate, support, drive and implement continuous improvement activities with focus on productivity and cost-efficiency in the team
• Establish long-term and short-term delivery/resource plans, according to the team's agreed deliveries, to meet business targets/plans, SLA etc, contributing to the Service Delivery Plan
• Assist in the creation of agreement documents/task specifications
• Accountable for ensuring efficient problem solving and root cause analysis within the delivery team
• Establish guidelines, work instructions and job descriptions

Other
• Lead "Daily huddles" together with the team
• Continue to drive together with the team, the values and directions given as part of newly launched VPS4IT (Lean Management)
• Act as a coach for members of the team, give support, feedback and recognition related to delivery and performance
• Ensure an open, honest and collaborative mindset within the team
• Be a driver for a learning organization and work with continuous improvement
• Identify areas of simplification within the delivery
• Support and encourage development activities for the team members in cooperation with the respective Line Manager (HR responsible)
• Use the "Skills Matrix" to identify competence needs, plan time for individual training and cross training within the team, as well as knowledge sharing and development of team members
• Support Delivery Manager in the performance assessment of team members
• Participate in the regular DM Weekly meetings
• Prepare HR Agreements for the team members
• Introduce new team members
• Manage a multicultural team
• Ensure communication & information flow in the delivery team

Required competencies
• Good understanding of working in an PLM environment with different organizations and needs.
• PLM applications (Windchill, Creo, Catia, CreoView) and related infrastructure (Windows Server, storage, network)
• Relevant business understanding of virtual configuration management to provide virtual contexts to different end applications and formats.
• Social skills is of importance to communicate with different stakeholders and to drive a global Process & Solution Key User network
• Self-driven and open minded person that has the ability to have a good overview but still the sense for details.
• Work with and drive activities together with a team having great experience in the area and Volvo's Way of working.
• Engineering degree or similar within relevant areas
• Self-driven and flexible in planning your timetable to enable cooperation with global colleagues

Wanted profile
You have a few years of experience working within the product development department and in the area of Product Configuration. You are open to and enjoy change and continuous improvement work.
Since you are part of a global unit, with global responsibilities, you must enjoy to actively cooperate with various stakeholders around the world and to navigate in a multi-cultural environment. It is important you have an innovative and creative mindset in order to inspire and challenge in your organization. You have the desire to develop your team members further in order to create a highly efficient delivery team.
