What you'll do.
In your role you will operationally manage intercontinental flows to our production sites in Europe. You will coordinate shipments and interact with carriers to ensure that cargo will be picked up and delivered on time. You will also handle and control deviations as well as standardizing processes to ensure we handle our cargo in the most optimal way.
You will support our production sites by finding operational solutions and you will run operational meetings with our carriers in a standardised way with focus on improvement activities and process excellence. You will lead activities to support the organisation in continuous improvement and problem solving and develop tools to improve processes with the aim of standardisation and automation.
As a team leader you will coordinate the team's daily activities and ensure that the right competences are in place for the key tasks as well as support operationally. You will coach and develop the team to achieve higher performance in an efficient way.

You will report into head of Intercontinental and Time Critical Transportation.
Do you fit the profile?
To be successful in this role you need to have a University Degree and a solid experience of the freight forwarding or Inhouse logistic business.
We are looking for someone who can maintain composure whilst under pressure. Having a service mind-set with the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally is key. Being customer focused and able to drive change within the group is highly valued
To be successful in the role you need to have the ability to communicate findings, make recommendations, and facilitate change. You have an analytical mindset being able to use data to take correct decisions with a problem-solving approach. You are confident in your presentation and communication skills. Experience working within a global context and multi-cultural environment is a plus.
Fluency in English is required.
