www.engelska.seInternationella Engelska Skolan i Halmstad is an independent secondary school with 550 students in grade 4-9 and 50 staff members. The school is located near the Nissan river, and is a short walk from the city center.
We are hiring two teaching positions
• Swedish teacher, fix term employment, 100%, 1 year from January 2015
• Social studies teacher, qualified in at least two Social studies subjects, fixed-term employment, 100%, 6 months from January 2015
Qualifications
You are a qualified teacher in grades 4-9 in the subjects Swedish or Social studies.
You have extraordinary commitment and drive. You are a clear leader that provides security and a role model for your students. You get involved in the students and in their goals through a coaching approach. As a person you are creative and open to new ideas and viewpoints. You are structured , loyal, responsive and have a high sense of responsibility.
Fluency in English is an advantage but not a must.
Duties and responsibilities:
• To create the necessary conditions for students to acquire knowledge and achieve individual goals.
• To develop students' knowledge and skills with the curriculum and syllabi founded by clear criteria, goals and feedback.
• To act as a role model and to provide security, order and a calm working atmosphere both inside and outside the classroom.
