What you'll do
You will join the Radio team with the responsibility to drive and develop the future Radio Access Network (RAN) within all system technologies 2g/3G/4G/5G with a focus on 4G and 5G. The team consists of technical architects within the radio domain, radio planners, RAN operations and mobile terminals located in Stockholm, Karlskrona and Gothenburg.
As TA Radio System you will be responsible for RAN in system perspective and work together with architects within the team towards common goals. You will develop and upgrade Telenor radio network from a capacity as well as from a functional perspective. You will be involved in deep technical analysis and investigations covering the competence area within Telenor Sweden and within Telenor Group.
You will be involved in the full chain of work when introducing new functionality in the network to improve quality and performance in the radio network. Starting from overall strategy around network functionality to detailed vendor discussions, lab testing and finally to implement and verify in live network.
You will be involved in steering and governing Telenors interests and responsibilities within our joint venture networks as 3GIS and N4M. Strategy work, network sharing related questions, system performance and contract negotiations with vendors and partners are other central parts of your daily work. You will also be involved in the development of working methods and to automize our business into the future.
Who are you
* MSc/BSc degree in Telecom (or having corresponding competence/experience)
* Senior experience of mobile networks working with technical investigations
* Deep knowledge of 2G/3G/4G (LTE) and 5G (NR) networks
* Interest and skills to learn about new technical areas
* Experience from project management
* Experience from vendor contacts and contract management
* Swedish and English language skills, verbally and written
It is also a bonus if you have previous experience from planning and optimization of mobile networks Radio/Core. We believe that you have been involved in international projects either as a project member or project manager and having experience from protocol analyzers e.g. OSIX and understand signaling interfaces.
