Your role
We are in need of a system engineer that can help us develop and support the new generation of test equipment. A test equipment used for electronic units controls a great number of test instruments, such as Oscilloscope's and DC Power supplies.
As a system engineer you will, together with the team, work with the entire development chain. From concept, design, construction, programming and installation on site. To deliver a complete product and then support the product. You will meet internal and external customers and work with them to meet their needs. The role includes occasional traveling both nationally and internationally. Our projects are in need of more members so your role in the project could be shaped based on your previous experience, your skills and your wishes.
You are a committed and social engineer who enjoys working in teams. You are innovative and like to learn new things, you find variation in work task stimulating and you drive tasks to closure. You like to occasional travel to customers and support them at their sites.

For those who want there are career paths and opportunities to develop both technically and within leadership such as towards senior system engineer, traveling support engineer, technical management, project management and line manager.
Your Profile
At Saab there are good opportunities for challenges and personal development for both the experienced engineer and the recently graduated. For this position previous work experience of development projects is an advantage but not a requirement. Also work experience from supporting / on site support is an advantage.

Requirements:
* Adequate university education within Electronics and Computer Engineering.
Merits:
* Previous experience of test instruments
* Previous experiance in development of electronics
* Previous experiance of mecanichal design
* Previous experiance of customer support
* C++, Visual Studio, DevOps Server
* Agile development methods such as Scrum
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

What you will be a part of
You will be a part of the project team and work with development and/or support of Test Equipments for Gripen. The department Test Equipment designs, produces and supports test equipment for, primarily, maintenance of the electronics in the Gripen Fighter System. The department also provides support and service for its products to other Saab units. Today we are about 90 employees but are in an expansive phase where we need to become more.
