Our location in Stockholm is the global head office of Bombardier's rail control solutions division. The site has 135 years' experience of signal technology, and supplies control and signal system solutions all over the world. Our high specialised team is engaged in product development of safety signalling.

Role:
As Systems Architect you will act as the bridge between the users of the system (external or internal customers) and the developers (including HW and SW Designers, Testers and Validators). By using their expertise and by working in close collaboration with the users, Systems Architects design and specify technical solutions that Rail Control Solutions division can commit to develop successfully and deliver on schedule.
System Architects manage the real needs of the project and product stakeholders, including customers and end users with the responsibility to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify and manage the requirements.
Key responsibilities:
• Identify customer needs, by closely collaborating with them.
• Define system requirements, system context and interfaces.
• Decide on system solutions and product selection. Support and definition for generic processes, generic requirements handling, product descriptions and tools (or tool chains) belonging to the product and also for the requirement management itself (e.g. DOORS).
• Support project members, training and knowledge transfers.

Qualifications:
• Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations.
• Experience in requirement management tools like DOORS and knowledge in modeling tools and languages like SysML/ UML would be highly appreciated.
• Knowledge in product management concepts is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken). Any other language is a plus.
• Strong focus on finding solutions.
• Customer oriented, self-driven person.
