THIS IS US, YOUR NEW COLLEAGUES
We are the Group for System Testing & Test Lead at Electrical & Software Architecture at Volvo Group Trucks Technology in Gothenburg.
To be more precise; we are a group of passionate testers who genuinely believe that testing is tacit knowledge which require practice, dedication and a stubborn mentality. We are not building our testing ability around documentation and instructions. We are building it around the testers.
Our humble ambition is to become the best automotive testers in the world, combining edge-cutting automated testing and mastering the art of manual exploratory testing.
And what do we do?
Together with our friends, we are developing and testing the best transport solutions in the world.
We test the electrical system where most of the software in our vehicles is located. We constantly improve our test methods and we combine the most suitable test methodologies to excel.
Within our scope of responsibility lies the work with development of new test methods, processes, tools and the need for test equipment. And we test, test and test!
Why do we do that?
We do this in order to secure that the electrical system (the soul of the truck) is behaving according to requirements as well as the customer's high expectation on our products and thereby being a candidate for release.
In essence we are a group of highly motivated and skilled engineers that love our work and use our creativity and current tools to secure product quality. As a part of this group you will get a very good overview of the trucks complete electrical system and the trucks functionality.
We trust the individual and act as a team, are close to the product and provide an opportunity for professional and personal growth.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Our Pablo should preferably be a fearless, bug-loving test engineer with ability to write beautiful issue reports so our friends (the developers) can solve them with highest possible speed.
Besides from the privilege to be part of revolutionizing an industry, the role also includes the nobility of real, hands-on, dirt-under-your-fingernails work since the products under test are tough, ultra-cool heavy duty vehicles.
WHO ARE YOU?
You have been working with test for several years, but have remained eager to report new issues, explore new ways of testing and love to discover new technologies.
We also believe that you are genuinely interested in automotive, electronics engineering and software.
You are curious with an eye for details and do not settle until perfection is reached.
On top of that you are customer-focused, enjoy working in teams as well as individually and love testing.
Testing and automotive are two words that really excite you!
Preferred skills
Several years of testing experience, preferably with high exploratory approach within automotive
Truck Driver's licence (C or CE)
Experience from product development within automotive industry
Fluent in written and spoken English and preferably in Swedish
