The group Vehicle Interaction Systems within the department Vehicle Infotainment Platform currently exists of 15 people. Vehicle Interaction Systems is responsible for the electrical system solution of HMI across the vehicle for all features that require information to the user. We have a high complexity where we work with different departments that explains how the system works and what the customer should be able to do. We then build the customer interface and logic for the vehicle functions in the main display and then test our solutions.
As System Engineer within the group Vehicle Interaction Systems you are responsible for developing the electrical system solution of HMI across the vehicle. You will work in close cooperation with all functions that require user settings in the vehicle. You will be working in all phases of a project, from concept phase up until production start and aftermarket. As part of our team you will establish and develop a wide personal network within Volvo Car Group. You will get access to long term development opportunities in a continuously growing field where you have a direct influence on customer satisfaction.
Main responsibilities
• Develop and document the system solutions for defined car program according to technical, quality, time and cost requirements
• Develop and quality assure simulation models in Matlab/Simulink
• Take part in developing and improving our way of working and methods
• Support the software development team at suppliers and get direct feedback on the implementation
• Participating in testing activities and assure corrective actions when deviations occurs
Required qualifications
• M.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• At least one year relevant working experience from product development
• Experience from model based engineering
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Driver's license, B
• Meritorious is several years working experience from product development
Personal qualities
• Good cooperation ability and communication skills
• Good team player with positive and pro-active attitude
• Self-motivated with a strong delivery orientation
• Structured, with good analytical skills
• Problem solver
