You will be part of HVDC within the Power Grids division in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems. Working at the system design and simulation department.
You will be part of a team that is responsible for the overall performance of an HVDC transmission including interaction with surrounding AC-networks.
Working with analysis and optimizations of the system dynamic performance for our HVDC-deliveries including development of control algorithms.
Supporting during testing of control and protection systems in house and at our sites around the world.
The tools we use are mainly PSCAD, PSS/E and Power Factory.

Your background
We are looking for Bachelors, Masters and Doctors in the field of Electric Power Engineering or Engineering Physics.
Experience of system studies and/or HVDC is desirable.
You are familiar with the programs and tools we use, such as PSCAD/EMTDC, Matlab, PSS/E and PowerFactory.
Since we work in an international environment you need to master spoken and written English.
As a person you need to be a team player and work in an analytical and structured manner.
Taking responsibility for your work and deliver on time.
